Registration for the dance competition is now officially open! The last day to register for the dance contest is June 30th. Each session there will be a $750 cash prize and a travel trophy for the site that wins First Place in the dance competition! Second Place will receive a winners plaque and $250!

This year we have two winning categories: 1) Elementary School and 2) Middle School and up. The Elementary School team cannot have anyone older than 12 years old and must be in Elementary School.

Groups competing in the dance contest MUST send us their completed video of the dance by July 7th. Videos must be emailed to: flow@digitalvibez.org and jana@digitalvibez.org. The videos will be judged over the following week. The top 2 teams with the most votes/highest scores for each category and each session will be notified and will be performing on stage to compete for first place (email your MP3 of dance team music to Flow within 24 hours of notification). Videos will be showcased on our website and social media, so please make sure that each performer has a signed waiver that has been turned in to Digital Vibez.

Guidelines

The following guidelines are expected to be followed in order to be in the dance competition. Any rules not followed may result in a lower score or disqualification:

1. Dance: The dance must be performed by youth only. Routines must be choreographed by the kids, not by a coach or adult. No vulgar or provocative dance moves are permitted. This is a youth event and dances must be clean and appropriate.

2. Music: Your music and routine cannot exceed 1 min and 30 seconds. There cannot be any curse words or inappropriate words in the music as this is a kid-friendly event. Even clean versions of the songs must be appropriate. If in doubt, please contact us.

  1. Clothing must be appropriate: Outfits cannot be revealing and must not have anything inappropriate on them.
  2. The Elementary School team cannot have anyone older than 12 years old and must be in Elementary School (or a graduated 5th grader who has not started 6th grade yet). The second category, Middle and up, must not have ages exceeding 18 years old.
